Columbia College Jazz Vocal Ensemble with Dana Hall Trio

COLUMBIA COLLEGE VOCAL JAZZ ENSEMBLE directed by MIMI ROHLFING. Also known as 3C-VJE, the Vocal Jazz Ensemble performs both a capella and accompanied repertoire in jazz and pop, with global music influences. It has sung with Chicago jazz legend, Von Freeman, performed with the Grammy-winning New York Voices, David “Fathead” Newman, and Earth, Wind & Fire.  Before joining the faculty at Columbia College Chicago, Mimi Rohlfing sang pop music in Cyprus, led her own jazz combo in Boston, sang classical music in the Tanglewood Festival Chorus, taught public school music and directed children’s theater. The Ensemble consists of sopranos: Emme Williams; Cassidy Fletcher; Samantha Foti; altos: Sara Garrett; LaShera Moore; Jessica Miller; basses: Riley Hughes; Brad Kemp; tenors: Christopher Bennet; Jim Lordeman; Mattisson Voell. They are accompanied by Dana Hall on drums and Jeremy Kahn on piano.
