JOSH MOSHIER & MIKE LEBRUN. Picking up the alto saxophone at the age of twelve, Mike Lebrun’s musical interest eventually led him to the Northwestern University where he studied with Frederick L. Hemke and John Wojciechowski. At the 2008 International Jazz Composers Symposium, Mike’s tune “Jambo” was named “Best Small Group Composition.” Josh Moshier, a jazz pianist and composer, has had his music performed by the Joel Spencer Quartet and Dick Oatts with the Northwestern Jazz Ensemble, among others. Josh has composed music for The Oprah Winfrey Show and written arrangements for Hal Leonard (All About Trumpet). Joy Not Jaded is their latest recording. Performing with Mike and Josh are John Moulder, guitar; John Tate, bass; and Jon Deitemyer, drums.
