MAGGIE BROWN. A Chicago native, Maggie made her professional acting and singing debut at the Body Politic Theater. She studied music, theater and voice at Columbia College and has traveled with her show, Legacy. Maggie’s first CD, From My Window, was nominated by the Chicago Music Awards for Best Jazz CD by the Chicago Music Awards. James Walker of www.jazzchicago.net has written that Maggie “transcend[s] limitations and genres, while still maintaining her unique unmistakable voice.” Maggie recently performed with Orbert Davis’s Chicago Jazz Philharmonic.
