PAULINHO GARCIA, guitarist and vocalist, has performed in jazz festivals, theaters, and clubs in Asia, Europe and America. In 2010, The Chicago Tribune named Paulinho “Chicagoan of the Year in Jazz.” A record audience of 12,000 people saw his “50 Years of Bossa Nova” concert with João Donato in Millennium Park in July 2008. In December 2008, Paulinho shared the famous Esplanade Hall stage in Singapore with Jeremy Monteiro and Toots Tielemans, playing to a sold-out crowd. A steady performer in metropolitan Chicago, Paulinho also teaches Brazilian guitar and vocals at Old Town School of folk music and coaches a Brazilian combo at Roosevelt University. He has been regularly performing in Poland with Grazyna Auguscik and in many prestigious jazz festivals from the North Sea Jazz Festival in Holland to festivals in Japan, Singapore, Poland, and throughout the USA. Singer, composer, arranger, and producer GRAZYNA AUGUSCIK has been winning critical and audience praise since making her home in Chicago. Her elusive style challenges traditional definitions of jazz and reflects a vocalist and musician without boundaries. Beginning her professional music career in Europe, Grazyna completed her studies in 1992 at the Berklee College of Music and has since shared stages with such jazz notables as Jim Hall, Michael and Randy Brecker, Bobby Enriquez, Patricia Barber, and John McLean. Amidst her active schedule of worldwide performances, Grazyna has recorded, produced and distributed fourteen albums. She has been named six times as Best Jazz Vocalist by the prestigious European magazine, Jazz Forum.
