The Hyde Park Art Center is Chicago’s place to experience contemporary art. Founded in 1939, the Art Center offers exhibitions of new work primarily by Chicago-based artists at pivotal moments in their career, as well as classes and public programs. All Hyde Park Art Center exhibitions are free and open to the public seven days a week, providing an accessible resource where the community can see, make, and learn about contemporary art.
