Hypocrisy of Justice: PODCAST

Inside Hypocrisy of Justice: Sights and Sounds of the Black Metropolis is a three episode podcast taking you behind the scenes of the development, inspiration and collaboration in creating the performance, Hypocrisy of Justice: Sights and Sounds of the Black Metropolis. Hear from musician and composer Dana Hall, playwright Cheryl Lynn Bruce, and Artistic Director of the Hyde Park Jazz Festival Kate Dumbleton as they take you through the performances first iteration in 2015, to the importance of Richard Wright’s seminal novel Native Son, and the expansion of the project through the creation of a conjoining symposium. 

Inside Hypocrisy of Justice: Sights and Sounds of the Black Metropolis was produced by Inés Arango Guingue, Erica Cheung, Sidney Mori Garrett, Sigrid Neptun and Maya Ortiz Saucedo, and edited by Sidney Mori Garrett. This podcast series was made in collaboration with Dana Hall, Cheryl Lynn Bruce and Kate Dumbleton, with support from the Hyde Park Jazz Festival and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
